took a while because i didnt have a plan what to draw or how to get the best out of the brushes etc...im very pleased with the outcome though.

Done in photoshop CS3

One of the better 'floating islands' entries. And I know because I've been watching that category for several weeks trying to find a good example to use as an idea launching pad... this one may be the one to help me the most. I especially like the protruding tree roots and the drippy greenage on the edges.

Since the guy isn't fishing (there's no water) then I deduce he is birding. And what's the deal with the grave? Is that his dog or his wife?

Very good work. I would tell you to enjoy your tablet, but I know you will once you get more used to it. :):horns:

Thanks alot for the kind words....to be honest i just painted/drew what came out....i guess the guy is "fishing for complements" or just to pass the time...haahaa or yea, birds!!!

the grave was just something to signify the lonelyness of it really.its lonely with two of you sometimes but to lose someone yadda yadda yadda...or i guess it can be anything you want it to be.

hmm....not a great answer but like i said....it came out of my deepest thoughts whilst drawing it so im sure a psychiatrist would read into it

the wacom was tricky to get used to but after an hour or so i got the hang of it.it was the brushes in photoshop that were the hardest to get good results from...im very happy with the outcome.

Yeah, the guy does exude loneliness. Even just sitting there fishing, he just seems to be a lonely cat.

You should be happy... it's very nicely done.
